Marc Hamilton - Human Perspective
Chartered Psychologist - Hertfordshire & London

Our Approach

I would describe myself as a perceptive, friendly and positive minded psychologist. My training has been in Australia and the United Kingdom where I am now practicing.  As a reflective practitioner I try to treat my clients as fully human, rather than as a diagnosis or a treatment plan. While I will listen, I won’t just listen. I will work with you to help you devise and implement real solutions to your challenges.

I have more than 20 years’ experience in the areas of trauma management services, general counselling services, training and development, mentoring, health education programmes, psychological assessment and coaching. I have set up an NHS postgraduate programme within a primary care practice in inner London with postgraduate students linked to two London universities providing a psychological service to patients in central London.

Across my career my work also extends to consultation with the public sector (the Psychological Services Coordinator for the Serious Organised Crime Agency and Consultant for the United Nations) and private sector (financial services in the City of London).

As a Chartered Psychologist I use a range of evidence-based strategies to tailor treatment to the needs of the individual. Whatever the presenting issue, I will provide a safe and supportive environment to assess client’s situations thoroughly, help identify goals, and tailor therapy to suit their individual needs.
